What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Courier/Driver- Z3- AM shift position at Simple Laboratories?
Responsibilities:
- Gather supplies to distribute to phlebotomists as needed.
- Pick up and properly deliver specimens to specified lab.
- Provide courier services as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team on route and current pickups.
- A vehicle in good working condition
- Clean driver’s license and current insurance
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow directives and work independently.
- Reliable worker
- Team player who works well with others
- Proficient in using a smart phone.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a passion towards safety and Customer Service
Specifications and Conditions:
Overall Strength Demands: Sedentary strength demands include occasionally exerting up to 15 pounds or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
Physical Demands: Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking. Frequently involves standing, walking, fine dexterity, sitting, and handling. Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching. Rarely requires climbing.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: Telephone, calculator, printer, facsimile, copier, and binding machine.
Weather Conditions: Awareness of climatic conditions in Midwest (E.g. cold, wet, snow at times).
