What You’ll Be Doing
Project & Grant Management
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our goals
- Write and submit proposals, reports, and other funding-related documents
- Track deadlines and deliverables across multiple funding sources
- Maintain a grant calendar and support compliance with grant and contract requirements
- Help the Owner/CEO stay organized — scheduling, prepping documents, tracking follow-ups
- Draft meeting notes, reports, and presentations
- Manage projects, staying ahead of deadlines, and troubleshooting project needs
- Help maintain strong relationships with funders, community partners, and agencies
- Represent the organization at select meetings or events
- Draft partner updates, outreach materials, and occasional press releases
- Track key communications and follow-ups with external contacts
- Help plan and coordinate meetings, trainings, or community events
- Support logistics and communications for special initiatives and public outreach
- Take the lead on organizing small projects that span multiple departments or partners
- Assist with tracking project outcomes and pulling together reports for grants or internal planning
- Support light evaluation or impact tracking to inform future work
- Keep files and documents organized for easy reference and compliance
Background & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in grants, project coordination, or executive support
- Nonprofit, small business, or public service experience is a plus
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and shifting gears as needed
- Strong writing and editing skills—especially for grants or reports
- Detail-oriented and good with deadlines
- Comfortable with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and (bonus!) tools like Asana or Trello
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable engaging with people from all backgrounds
- Able to work independently but also enjoys being part of a collaborative team
