Job Description
Sr. Cisco Network Engineer - CCNP to support our client with a migration project.
Oniste - Jersey City, NJ hybrid 3-4 days a week on site

First is video interview and
Second interview is on site at Client site
You have a good handle on "best practices" and operational excellence within the Cisco networking space and CCNP or CCNA at minimum.
This is a migration project Cisco to Palo Alto.
Position Overview
Responsibilities / Necessary Skills / Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with a focus on remote access VPN technologies.
- Extensive experience with Cisco VPN solutions, Cisco Defense Orchestrator (CDO), BGP routing, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Netscaler experience would be preferred.
- Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco ASA, Firepower, and AnyConnect VPN solutions.
- Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco ISE for secure VPN authentication and authorization.
- Strong understanding of VPN protocols (IPsec, SSL / TLS), encryption, and authentication methods.
- Extensive experience with BGP configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools in network security environments.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and frameworks.
- Experience in a multi-cloud environment, with knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security practices.
- Experience with network security monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of security and reliability.
- Certifications :
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or equivalent certification.
- Any cloud certifications are a plus.
