We are currently looking for a Safety Manager (LACCD SAC 461) for our contract with Los Angeles Community College District.

This is an on-site, long term job. You must be in located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Minimum Requirements
Required Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of continues experience in commercial construction
- Minimum 5 years of managing multiple projects in different stages of construction at multiple jobsite locations
- Minimum 5 years field experience as Construction Safety Consultant working with General Contractors and Subcontractors
- Experience working with OCIP
- Minimum of 2 years experience in construction of educational projects in a campus environment.
- Current OSHA 500 (Trainer in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry) - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
- Minimum of holding a valid Safety Management Specialist (SMS) certificate or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certificate issued by the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
- Experience on modernization-type projects involving abatement, remediation and other hazardous waste material removal such as asbestos and lead-based paint
- Extensive knowledge and experience with senior safety management with large building programs across multiple sites
- Experience participating in scheduled construction progress meetings
- Strong experience in incident and daily construction reporting
- Ability to effectively communicate with owners construction management staff and contractor’s site Management Team
- Ability to manage, control and accurately report in a timely manner all safety incidents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction management, safety management, safety engineer or related degree is preferred
- Additional safety/health certifications and credentials as appropriate for this position
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER
Compensation:
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
