We are seeking a contract Electrical Design Engineer with new product development experience.

This position is ideal for someone who has a strong technical background and years of experience designing PCAs for the consumer electronics industry.

POSTION DESCRIPTION

• Design circuit schematics and complete or facilitate PCB layout
• Perform board bring-up and integration testing in collaboration with mechanical and firmware / software
• Write test procedures and assist in formal verification of design function.
• Manage bills of materials and redesign for parts obsolescence or constrained supply chain.
• Apply design principles to prevent electromagnetic interference and assist with certification to EMC standards.
• Work closely and communicate regularly with clients to keep stakeholders apprised of project status, issues, design decisions, and risks
• This position requires you to work on site at Simplexity’s client office in Bellevue for at least 3 days per week and more when significant integration activities are taking place
• Full-time anticipated for at least 3 months and likely to extend to 1 year , depending on performance and client's business needs.

Two type of contractor roles will be considered :

1. 1099 contractors (have your own registered consulting / contracting business)

2. W-2 contractor (employee of Simplexity)
