The Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all U.S. accounting activities while collaborating with our international teams in South America and Europe. This role provides exposure to both CPG and Foodservice business segments and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead chargebacks, discounts, and sales programs for key accounts (UNFI, KeHe, and Foodservice distribution).
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to manage inventory costs and valuation.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic business initiatives.
- Maintain and utilize the ERP system (Oracle NetSuite) for financial transactions and reporting.
- Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assess financial risks and collaborate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Review and reconcile key financial accounts (bank statements, liabilities, assets) on a monthly basis.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Who You Are
- An accounting professional with a proven track record in CPG and Foodservice industries.
- Experienced with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite) and knowledgeable in US GAAP.
- A confident and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in problem-solving and strategic thinking.
- Passionate about food, sustainability, and creating a positive impact in the industry.
- Motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A true team player with a positive attitude and entrepreneurial mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP system Oracle NetSuite.
- Proven track record and accounting experience within the consumer goods space.
- Experience in the Foodservice space is a plus.
- CPA is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus.
