Position Summary
A Member Business Loan Processor is responsible for accurate and efficient processing of paperwork for business loans in accordance with Simplicity’s lending guidelines. This position secures all necessary documentation and prepares files for underwriting and loan approval. Always projects a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers.

- Responsible for the new loan, maintenance, and renewal of all business loan documents; auditing files, checking for correct documentation, including mortgages, title work and flood determinations, appraisal reviews, environmental reviews, lien perfections, and UCC filings.
- Responsible for ordering and reviewing title work, flood certifications, appraisals, and any other documents necessary to support the business loan application process and ensure complete documentation of the file according to business loan program guidelines.
- Communicate to all involved parties including the lender, borrower, realtor, title company, and appraiser throughout the process, keeping them informed as to the status and assisting with any questions and notifying them of any additional information required.
- Responsible for monitoring loans in process to determine any deviation from the standard processing time and take appropriate actions for alternatives to ensure members receive timely service. Providing feedback to the member business loan officer on the file flow and issues on closed loans.
- Process and close paid business loan files; satisfy mortgages, AOR/release UCC’s and liens as well as monitor and update expiring flood certifications.
- Responsible for opening Business Deposit Relationships.
- Assist with Member Business Loan Closing.
- Monitor and update year end reports for business loan files.
- Reinforce continuous collaboration and respectful communication between all departments by promoting strong, positive, and productive working relationships through the commitment to the company’s core values, vision and mission statements.
Competencies
- High school diploma and experience in Loan processing experience.
- A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business loan products and procedures.
- Must be friendly and able to represent the credit union in a professional and positive manner.
