Summary / Job Objective: We are looking for a qualified accountant to assist in the General Ledger month-end close process and the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements in compliance with GAAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a good understanding of accounting principles, are essential for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities
- Enter leases in accordance with ASC 842 and prepare related journal entries
- Assist with the month end close process and adhering to deadlines
- Responsible for maintaining and journaling all prepaid expenses
- Prepare account reconciliations for multiple companies
- Ensure all necessary journal entries are booked accurately and in compliance with GAAP
- Assist with daily incoming cash receipts
- Proficient in accrual-based accounting
- Support Interim and Year-End audit by gathering data and preparing schedules
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information
- Ad hoc projects
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; working towards a CPA or parts passed is a plus
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial data analysis and/or auditing
- Knowledge of accounting & corporate finance principles and procedures
- Strong Computer Skills (excel a must)
- Great Plains experience a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to successfully work within a team, as well as independently
- Base salary: $70,000-$80,000 (based on experience)
- Annual performance bonus: 5% target
