Position Summary
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. You will report to the CFO and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, improving internal controls, managing the close process, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment and is excited to build and scale financial systems and processes.
What You'll Do
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, revenue recognition, payroll accounting, and cash flow management.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a fast-scaling SaaS business.
- Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools.
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A, RevOps, and other departments to support budgeting, financial accuracy and transparency.
- Assist with financial audits, tax filings, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure proper treatment and documentation of SaaS-specific revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Build a team over time.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1-2 years in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Experience with accounting software and a general tech-savvy mindset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience implementing new ERP or financial systems.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm).
- Exposure to Institutional Investors
