Job Summary :
We have an immediate need for a Full-Time In-Person Audiology Assistant who will be primarily responsible for working closely with audiologists to provide hearing services and treatment to patients. As one of the main contacts for patients, the Audiology Assistant is responsible for ensuring that every contact with the clinic is a positive one and that each experience helps in the differentiation of the clinic from other experiences the patient may have had with other similar hearing healthcare providers.
Additionally, this position is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting emergent hearing aid issues and, under the supervision of the audiologist, for recommending solutions to resolve hearing / hearing aid issues. The Audiology Assistant also supports the office staff in all marketing, operational, customer service and administrative functions

- 40 hours a week
Responsibilities & Duties :
Hearing Aid cleaning and check appointments.Hearing Aid orientation (use & care, battery info, insertion, and removal).Review of hearing aid care and maintenance, outside of hearing aid orientation (classes).Prepare hearing aid repairs to be shipped out.Order hearing aids and supplies for resale and support : receivers, domes, wax guards, batteries.Check in new orders and repairs in Sycle.Preprogram new orders and repairs, if necessary, in Noah.Infection control for labs and exam rooms, Disinfect hearing aids, accessories, and parts.Charge and prepare all demo hearing aids ahead of time with appropriate paperwork.Charge all hearing aids, accessories and cochlear implant processors and batteries prior to delivery appointments.Make sure paperwork is filled out properly for hearing aid deliveries, earmold deliveries, accessories, and repairs.Assist with ongoing education and review of care and maintenance (Classes or one on one appts).Schedule and hold communication strategies classes.Attend to walk-ins for hearing aid problems and minor in-house repairs.Dispense and orient accessories, set up Bluetooth features and pair to cell phones, etc.Triage patients that need hearing tests or programming adjustments and schedule accordingly.Discuss new hearing aid technology as needed and set up appropriate appointments.Schedule hearing aid fitting appointments and repaired aid appts, if not already scheduledAdministrative Duties Related to Hearing Aids, Accessories and Cochlear Implants.Front desk back up.Requirements & Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of ageHave a valid Driver’s licenseLegally permitted to work in the United StatesProven work experience as an Medical Assistant, Audiology Assistant, or similar role is preferredProfessional attitude and appearanceSolid written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseExcellent organizational skillsMultitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksHigh school diploma or GEDBenefits Available :
