Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations, managing the sales team, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for customers. This role requires a combination of leadership, sales expertise, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about high-end furniture, thrives in a customer-focused environment, and has a proven track record of driving sales and managing a retail team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
- Lead by example to provide exceptional customer service and sales consultations.
- Drive revenue growth by developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships through follow-ups and personalized service.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all vendors offered at Simply Amish of Indy, including knowledge of the craftsmanship and customization options to educate staff and customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Foster a positive and motivated team culture that aligns with Simply Amish values.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate sales goals, promotions, and company updates.
Store Operations & Visual Merchandising
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom.
- Ensure all displays are properly maintained to the showroom designers standards.
- Analyze sales reports and customer insights to optimize store performance.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement local promotions and events.
- Build relationships with interior designers, realtors, and trade professionals to drive business.
- Represent Simply Amish at industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in high-end furniture, luxury goods, or home design.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and exceed revenue targets.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of furniture trends, materials, and customization is a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
