- Maintaining current insurance practices, requirements, and forms
- Verifying proper reimbursement is received for services provided
- Processing and following up insurance claims and documenting and coding information
- Reviewing patient accounts and determining appropriate billing distributions
- Processing statements and entering information into database
- Reviewing past due bills and following up on past due accounts
- Ensures all insurance related duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure excellent patient relations and financial success for the Practice
- Educate patients at every opportunity
- Maintain an outgoing, friendly attitude with patients and team members at all times
- Answers phone calls and navigates patients for best solution
- Follows HIPAA policy in all aspects of communication and office procedures
- Write clearly, concisely, logically, and legibly
- Demonstrate accuracy in spelling and basic math
- Speak, understand, and write grammatically correct English
- Understand and respect the behavior, attitude, and beliefs in congruence with the values and vision practice
- Confirms, updates and verifies all patient demographic and clinically necessary information
- Obtains and updates patient insurance information when needed
- Scans documents into each patients file
- Partners with the office team to ensure patients visit exceeds expectations; takes appropriate action when visits do not exceed those expectations
- Responds quickly and efficiently to all patient concerns while coordinating all parties to be involved
- Complete tasks within given time frames
- Performs general office duties; mail distribution, daily shipping and receiving, and shredding of protected health information
- Perform tasks for other office personnel in their absence and periods of high activity
- Dress according to office policy
- Maintain appropriate stock level of office supplies
- Contribute to team spirit
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
- Education level: High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in dental setting preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, G Suite and company Practice Management Software

Hours: This position is a standard Full-Time position, with general business operating schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a hybrid schedule working three days onsite.
