What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Sales Planner (Kroger Account) position at Simply Good?
• Must be local to Cincinnati, OH
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor trends and analyze shipment data and competitive market information utilizing Kroger specific data: 84.51, Tradepoint Contract Entry, 1WorlsSync, Market6 and other tools; Proficient in GoSpotCheck to gather market successes and opportunities for follow-up
• Communicate with sales team and sales broker on Trade Marketing sales requests, promotional contracts, etc.
• Forecast new items, sales reporting and analysis; Provide post-promotional analysis to optimize and improve promotional planning
• Manage strategic promotional plan for Simply brands and commodities within Kroger, including but not limited to period sales planning, Kroger precision marketing, customer communication and national marketing, such as: Vestcom, Catalina, etc.; Input promotions and provide backup within our internal planning systems (Anaplan and FlintFox)
• Develop internal promotions and forecasting as well as track and monitor the overall trade spend for each brand and category with the Sales Manager
•Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales on themed national event coordination; Create custom displays and work with internal departments to set upSupport Accounts Payable/Receivable with deduction management, post audits, disputes and repays
• Create presentation materials by sourcing, extracting and analyzing product sales data; Report pertinent and timely customer information for Senior management
• Develop and communicate strategies and key business topics to the Sales team (internal and external)
• Work closely with the Kroger Category Manager to interpret data and make recommendations from multiple data sources; Develop internal promotional planning and forecasting;
• Provide daily ad hoc reports and data analysis to Sales team and upper management, as needed • Participate in CPI negotiations; Provide trade show support, as needed
• Participates in special projects and assignments as required
• Participates in all other miscellaneous SMPL and departmental tasks, as required
• Attends departmental/cross-functional meetings
KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
• High level interpersonal skills to build strong work relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to incorporate customer, brand and sales team objectives and strategies into category plans • Ability to identify data implications and formulate a cohesive and consistent story
• Strong Knowledge of CPG forecasting and business analysis, as well as, principles and methods for trade promotion planning and selling of CPG products
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong skills in written and oral communication, analytical skills to problem solve, project management skills, and selfmanagement skills (prioritize, plan and organize own work); Flexibility to adjust to constantly changing priorities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing or Finance (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of CPG experience, Sales planning, Customer service and Trade marketing with Kroger
• Expertise in Kroger Business: 84.51 Prism, PromoteIQ, Market6, Tradepoint, 1WorldSync (Kroger VIP), KPM
• Experience with trade promotion management tools or similar forecasting systems - Anaplan or Flintfox, preferred • Experience working with Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated data

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
