As we grow, our Field Superintendent plays a key role, leading by example, mastering solar installation across multiple products, and assisting in the development of high-quality, efficient, and safe installation practices. Strong solar experience/knowledge, drive, and the ability to inspire and direct a dedicated team make you the ideal candidate.
As the Simply Solar Field Superintendent, you will:
- Oversee crews to ensure projects meet the schedule, budget, and quality requirements outlined in the project scope.
- Train and supervise installers, electricians, and technicians, as needed.
- Oversee the daily workflow of assigned personnel and ensure safe installation standards
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents to provide relevant documentation to the main office
- Drive Installation best practices
- Drive safety and quality initiatives
- Review and understand labor, materials, and costs involved with each install or correction
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years of solar & battery installation experience required
- Thorough understanding of solar and roofing industry principles, procedures, and best practices
- Good judgment with the ability to make accurate and timely decisions
- Experience managing multiple solar installation crews and warehouse personnel.
- Exceptional managerial and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to read and understand project plan sets, as-builds, and technical reference material.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General technical aptitude with computer and mobile-based software
- Valid CA Drivers License and clean driving record
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements is required, OSHA 30 preferred
- Electrician or equivalent experience preferred
- NABCEP PV Installer certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- $70,000 - $125,000 per year depending on experience
