Job Description :
The RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) is a member of the Cath Lab patient care team. S(he) has had training in specialized procedures with emphasis on angiographic procedures and related interventions. S(he) performs radiologic examinations utilizing standard and specialized views required during invasive procedures in accordance with the physician specifications.
Requirements :
Required Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology. Will consider current RCIS certification in lieu of education.
Required Experience : Adhere to Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)'s Code of Ethics Adhere to CCI's continuing education policy thirty-six (36) accredited continuing educational credits every three (3) years. Thirty (30) of these CEUs must be cardiovascular-related.
Required Certification & Licensures : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Preferred Certification & Licensure : Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, CPR Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified.
