Mid Coast Health System and El Campo Memorial Hospital are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead nursing services!
The CNO serves as the primary nursing executive for our healthcare system, El Campo Memorial Hospital, and oversees the directors of nursing across all affiliated hospitals. The CNO is tasked with establishing and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and nursing practice while promoting a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in shaping strategic initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and align with the organization's mission and vision. The CNO is also committed to upholding the hospital's customer service philosophy, incorporating the principles of the AIDET program to ensure compassionate, effective communication.
In addition to nursing leadership, the CNO oversees the following departments : Laboratory, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, Surgical Services, Emergency Department, Quality Assurance, Employee Health, and Infection Control.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in nursing (MSN), or related field preferred.
Active RN license in the state of Texas or ability to obtain one.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 5 years in an executive nursing role.
Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, clinical quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and nursing best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
