GENERAL SUMMARY
The CRNA works closely with their attending physician to provide anesthesia services to patients of all acuity levels. The CRNA is responsible for providing anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgery, as well as providing pain medicine and other related services. The CRNA ideally will have experience in the field, a commitment to patient safety and comfort, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION / COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Prepares and administers anesthesia.
Provides patient care before, during and after surgery.
Participates in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Provides trauma stabilization and critical care interventions.
Diagnoses and delivers acute and chronic pain management.
Stays current with new techniques, technology and medications related to anesthesia practice.
Maintains accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
Performs other position related duties as assigned.
Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and / or violations to a supervisor and / or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
RN and CRNA License and certification as required by state.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES
Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering anesthesia.
Critical thinking and effective decision making.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the surgical team.
Attention to detail and adaptability to changing patient conditions.
Able to work independently in surgery centers or hospitals.
Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization.
Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program required (DNP required as of 2025.)
Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 8 months work experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (not including clinical rotations or orientation).
