POSITION SUMMARY : Performs excellent patient care for all CT scan and x-rays. Quickly and accurately completes all paperwork to include orders, lab work and authorization confirmation. Monitoring the safety of patients pertaining to radiation and contrast dose.
Mon-Fri days!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Examines orders and verifies request on patients. Addresses any questionable orders to Radiologist before procedures. Operates CT equipment with proficiency. Operates Injector with proficiency
- Operate X-ray equipment with proficiency
- Paperwork / orders, email order request and authorization. Records medical history on designated history form. Correlates test results and other lab data with exam being performed
- Performs IVs, give patients oral contrast, do lab work if needed
- Monitor supplies / stock room
- Communicate with radiologist for protocols as needed
- Communicate with pacs / IT for imaging distribution if necessary
