Sentara Health Plan is currently hiring a Process Improvement Engineer- Remote !

Status : Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)

Work hours : 8am to 5pm EST, M-F

Location : This position is remote for candidates that live in the following states : VA, NC, AL, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, MN, NE, NV, NH, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WV, WI, WY! With travel to Richmond or Virginia Beach as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Primary responsibility of a Process Improvement Engineer is to make significant changes in clinical, operational or transformational processes with a strategic or operational focus.

We partner with operations to identify opportunities for improvements and present them to leaders as opportunities for process improvement. We initiate the project, and we lead the project and to close out. We also implement the changes and track those changes. A lot of networking is needed on a day-to-day basis, lot of project management, scheduling meetings, tracking data, analyzing data.

Required qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Engineering or related field required or 5 years of related experience in lieu of education REQUIRED
• If you do not have a degree - 5 years related experience in Process improvement, Healthcare operations / management, Clinical operations / management, or Business operations / management in Process improvement, Healthcare operations / management, Clinical operations / management, or Business operations / management
• Min 3 years of experience in Healthcare Management, Accounting / Finance and Process Improvement REQUIRED

Salary range : $71,416.80 to $107,103.36 with a target hiring range of $71,416.80 to $89,260.08.

Job Summary

Primary responsibility of a Process Improvement Engineer is to make significant changes in clinical, operational or transformational processes with a strategic or operational focus. Collaborate with leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, organize resources, select and implement the appropriate improvement methodology and ensure projects are conducted successfully.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Engineering or related field required. Master's degree preferred. 3 years experience in healthcare management / operations, finance, or process improvement required. Admin Fellow experience may be considered in lieu of experience. Project Management Certification preferred. Lean and / or Lean Six Sigma certification and / or statistics class completion preferred.
