Job Summary :
Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies and provides direct or indirect services that identify, restore and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient's safety and independence. Reports to Department Manager / Director.
Qualifications
Education & Training :
Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Pathology program.
License / Certification : Current Connecticut license to practice Speech Pathology.
Experience : One (1) year's experience in a health care setting. Home Health Care experience preferred.
Skills :
- Knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Pathology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians and co-workers.
- Ability to deal effectively with stress and to exercise independent judgment.
Other :
Valid motor vehicle operators license, reliable personal automobile during business hours, and active automobile insurance coverage in accordance with Agency policy.
