Job Title: PRN Speech Language Pathologist
Overview
We are a long-term care and post-acute care facility known for our exceptional customer service, high-quality nursing and therapy services, and high employee morale and retention. We are seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our team.
What We Offer
- PRN rate: $50-$55/hour (dependent on experience)
- Driving stipend for residents of Hayden/Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls area
About the Role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCCs) or eligible for 9-month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in order to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate
- Liaise with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
- Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Essential Functions
- Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
- Chart appropriately and timely
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
