Description
The retail operations specialist is part-time, hourly non-exempt position with responsibilities spanning all retail operations, including the campus Spirit Shop, Mailroom, and Copy Center. The primary responsibility is the front of the house operations with emphasis on providing superior customer service to all clientele, including students, faculty, staff, guests on campus. This position will work approximately 25 hours a week, working a flexible schedule, including the occassional weekend.

Other Duties Include But Are Not Limited
- Back of the house operations for all cost centers as well as leading a team of student workers in the absence of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Conferences, Events, & Retail Operations.
- Ensure successful operation of the campus mailroom, including operation of mailroom equipment, management of incoming and outgoing parcels using USPS standards, and overall record-keeping for the operation.
- Front-line support of multiple cost centers; primarily Mail Room, Spirit Shop, and Copy Center, occasionally Conferences & Events Services as needed.
- Oversee student workers to ensure efficient and effective operation of all retail outlets.
- Maintain effective cash-handling and reconciliation activities related to POS operation.
- Minimum completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one or more years of related experience in a customer service role.
- Preferred Experience: Two or more years of progressively more responsible experience in a customer service role with proven record of success.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time with the ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs regularly, lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis, and team lift up to 100lbs rarely.
