Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and making necessary repairs
- Assist in the installation of electrical fixtures, outlets, and switches
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or enrollment in a recognized apprenticeship program
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the electrical trade
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from journeyman/journeywoman electricians
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Skills:
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems
- Experience in building or construction trades
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices and equipment
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for electrical work
- Understanding of frame carpentry techniques for electrical installations
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines
- Experience working as a commercial electrician is a plus
- Familiarity with low voltage systems
