Duties:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- File and organize legal documents using document management systems
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate client information
- Perform general clerical tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Assist with file management and organization
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail for proofreading and accuracy in document preparation
- Proficient in using document management systems and other office software
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is required
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues professionally
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be proficient in using document management systems, and possess excellent communication skills. Legal experience is required.
