Key Responsibilities:
- Provide management oversight of construction activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety procedures and report any deviations or incidents to senior management.
- Conduct daily site visits to inspect work in progress and identify potential hazards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Support the Program Safety Manager by attending meetings, providing safety reports, and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
- Lead construction meetings with project teams and contractors, focusing on safety topics and hazard preparedness.
- Perform ongoing construction site inspections and generate daily safety reports for all site visits.
- Submit weekly Project Health Safety and Environmental Observation Reports to the College Project Manager.
- Review and verify contractor-submitted safety documents, including JHA, MOP, Fall Protection Plans, Crane Lift Plans, Excavation and Scaffold Erecting Plans, and Confined Space Entry plans.
- Participate in safety stand-downs, prepare lessons learned reports, and document safety orientations with contractor representatives.
