YOU
As a Senior Continuous Improvement Lean Leader, you will be responsible for developing a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes to enhance customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5:00pm.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process improvements. Develop and oversee Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) processes and facilitate A3/Kaizen events. Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and behaviors. Proactively identify and address potential barriers to change, engaging stakeholders at all levels to ensure successful implementation. (60%)
Develop a team of continuous improvement professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in the execution of improvement initiatives. Develop and deliver training programs to build capability in continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Coach and mentor employees at all levels to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Define and implement a long-term continuous improvement strategy aligned with the organizational goals and objectives. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance and track the results of improvement initiatives. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior leadership on the status and impact of continuous improvement efforts. (10%)
Manage the direct reports within the CI team, ensure teams alignment with company goals. Perform all the basic management functions for the team, including performance management, timekeeping, tasks tracking, and development. (10%)

Desired Skills And Experience

- High School Graduate or GED equivalent is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline or extensive experience is preferred.
- Six Sigma certified is preferred.
- 5 years of demonstrated lean application experience is required.
- 3 years of lean manufacturing usage and leading teams in lean principles is required.
- 2 years of supervision/management of direct employees is required.
- Knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of Heat Treatment, Coatings, Heading and Threading operations is preferred.
- Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to calculate figures and amounts percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistical analysis and present in graphs and spreadsheets
- Reading: Ability to read and interpret documents such as architectural and structural plans, value stream maps, A3 reasoning and pareto analysis.
- Comprehension/Speaking/Writing: Understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Analysis/Reasoning: Effective analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Self-Management: Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to motivate and work with team members. Must be able to connect, interface, and communicate well with a variety of internal partners in Sales, marketing and development.
- Software: Frequently used software includes Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. CAD usage a plus.
