Job Summary: The Safety Compliance Director is responsible for the company safety culture and safety/compliance team by overseeing and managing various software platforms used for EHS and Claims Management.
Essential Functions:
- Logistics and planning coordinator for emergency response efforts to field operations.
- Coordinate with Company Management and the Safety Department to identify safety training needs through various methods including evaluation and inspection of job processes, company facilities and branches, company equipment, and customer job sites.
- Leverage creative skills to design, develop, author, narrate, record, and edit high-quality, dynamic, and interactive training content including, video, audio, presentations, handouts, checklists, manuals, tests/quizzes, etc.
- Implement and deliver developed training content and modules through multiple channels including, recorded audio/video, streaming, electronic presentation, LMS platforms, in-person classrooms, and/or on-site sessions, and other effective means of training content delivery.
- Travel to company facilities, branches and customers or job sites to gather appropriate training content material, and to deliver on-site training.
- Track and evaluate training program effectiveness to ensure content achieves Company-wide safety goals, standards, and metrics.
- Perform necessary edits, changes and updates to content and delivery to achieve program effectiveness goals.
- Maintain an up-to-date library of reusable training content.
- Respond to accidents and incidents as needed.
- Provide Safety Management with regular and ongoing reporting of training program effectiveness and identified training needs.

- Possess general knowledge of cloud-based software like EHS software, ELD platforms, or Claims Management systems.
- Possess general knowledge of all heavy equipment in the company fleet.
- Strong aptitude for teamwork and fostering collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a transportation, or construction environment in safety or compliance.
- 3 years’ experience in incident and claims management.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Preferred).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

- Work is performed in a standard construction environment with prolonged periods of standing, sitting and/or walking. Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds at times. May occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme noise and physical harm in areas requiring hard hats, safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Ability to pass DOT pre-placement physical and physical capacities exam.
