A/R Specialist
We are a privately held company serving the building products industry for more than 30 years. Sims Lohman is rapidly expanding operations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Illinois markets. We are searching for a hands-on professional to join our A/R team with a willingness to service both new and existing customers in a variety of Collection and Accounts Receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
· Complete and submit AIA Billing
· Perform all aspects of Collections
· Participate in multiple monthly meetings with sales and management involving account updates/payment status/billing issues
· Send invoices and process credit memos as needed
· Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
· Process credit card transactions, prepare lien waivers and call-in affidavits
· Communicate account status and customer deductions to sales team and management
· Send monthly account statements to customers
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Accounting background minimum 3 years
· Attention to Detail
· Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent planning and organization skills
· Ability to partner with a cross-functional team (sales, operations, administration)
Desired but not Required
· Experience with Microsoft Great Plains a plus
· Customer Billing Portal Experience a plus
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting
· Experience with Microsoft Great Plains a plus
