Overview : We are looking for a talented and experienced Software System Tester to join our dedicated Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be key in validating software systems to ensure they function flawlessly and meet our high standards. Your expertise will help in identifying, reporting, and tracking defects while collaborating effectively with the development team to address any issues.

Clearance : An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is mandatory for obtaining a clearance.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, ideally within an agile environment.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete.
- Experience with automation tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI / CD.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Trello.
- Strong grasp of software development life cycles, particularly agile methodologies.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities :
Test Planning : Create and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure rigorous testing of software systems.Test Execution : Perform manual and automated testing to uncover defects, documenting results and reporting them to the development team.Defect Management : Identify and document defects found during testing, and collaborate with the development team for reproducing, isolating, and fixing issues.Test Automation : Develop and maintain automated test scripts, integrating them into the CI / CD pipeline in partnership with the DevSecOps Engineer.Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on progress, test results, and defect reports to stakeholders.Process Improvement : Evaluate and enhance testing processes, participating in retrospectives and contributing to improvements.Documentation : Keep accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including plans, cases, and results.Stakeholder Management : Share test plans and results with stakeholders, including project managers and customers.Preferred Skills and Experience :
ISTQB certification or equivalent.Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like AWS Device Farm.Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.Experience with DevOps practices and tools like Puppet or Ansible.Education : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Compensation : At SimVentions, compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, and alignment with our compensation plan. The projected annual salary range for this role is $84,000 - $119,000.
