Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor
Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor will be responsible for providing employees with hands-on training of heavy construction equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, administer, and lead hands-on training and skill assessment programs.
- Supervise and evaluate employees as they perform assigned tasks.
- Promote and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate training program and effectiveness.
- Maintain participation and performance records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years’ experience working in a construction environment - Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of heavy equipment, primarily, but not limited to: excavator, dozer, motor grader, scraper, articulated trucks, wheel loaders.
- Strong ability to assess skills and competencies of operators and their potential.
- Experience providing training to both large and small groups.
- Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver’s license required.
