What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT CARE TECH, DETOX CNA + Phlebotomy Experience position at Sinai Chicago?
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs a variety of functions in the clinical setting :
- Provides direct patient care, performs phlebotomy and EKG’s.
- Collaborates with and works under the direction of the registered nurse to provide appropriate and safe patient care.
- Utilizes the Hospital information system to order diagnostic tests and therapies and obtain patient information and test results.
- Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the hospital.
- Works within a diverse population of patients obtaining treatment for Addictions.
Education and / or licensure requirements :
High School Graduate
CPR certification within 3 months of hire; CPI certification preferred.
Certified Nurse Assistant
Phlebotomy Training / Certificate
EKG training and / or Certificate preferred.
Compliant with PPD requirements.
