What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSYCHOTHERAPIST ANTILLAS CLINIC position at Sinai Chicago?
GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:
- The therapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy and other treatment services that affirm clients’ strengths, broaden their problem-solving abilities, and increase their self-knowledge. Therapist is responsible to ensure that appropriate documentation is completed that is required for billing and coding. The therapist acts as a mentor and leader to newer staff and Masters level students. Candidates must have exceptionally good interpersonal skills, clinical insight, and comfort/experience working with individuals.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field required.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Two years’ experience in the mental health field
- Must be culturally competent.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- DSM 5 knowledge
- Substance Abuse Knowledge
- Excellent networking skills
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills
- Have valid Driver’s License and car
- Experience and comfortable in doing case management, outreach and home visits
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- LCPC or LCSW is preferred.
