General summary/basic purpose of Vascular Ultrasound Clinical Instructor
- Performs all the duties of an ultrasound technologist.
- Serves as liaison for student clinical affiliations for ultrasound program schools
- Maintains excellent relationships and adheres to contractual agreements with affiliated academic institutions
- Ensuring provision of a robust learning environment to promote the development of ultrasound technologists.
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision and values of Sinai Health System, as well as to the profession of ultrasound.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Associates Degree in Applied Science in Ultrasound
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5 or more years’ experience as a Sonographer working in an ultrasound department.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- You must have the skills and knowledge required by the SDMS, ACR and ARDMS guidelines for the profession of a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Extensive sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be done.
- Extensive clinical experience in providing sonography services and demonstrating the ability to mentor and support sonography students.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS or RVT) certification
- BLS
