GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:
Administers basic and advanced Non-Invasive Cardiology diagnostic procedures upon patients with suspected deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Recommends, evaluates, and performs cardiology diagnostic procedures in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory and Nuclear Medicine Department.
Establishes IV access, administers medications, and provides conscious sedation and intraprocedural monitoring of patient cardiopulmonary status while undergoing procedures in the laboratory.
Maintain departmental medications and emergency equipment in accordance with all hospital and departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Successful completion of Hospital and Departmental orientation programs.
1 year of nursing experience within area of desired practice.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
New Graduate
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois.
