LifeBridge Health’s Sinai Hospital, a nonprofit teaching hospital, is a regional medical campus for George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences (GWSMHS). Sinai is the largest community hospital in Maryland with 483 beds and serves the people of greater Baltimore as well as national and international patients. We provide training for more than 140 residents and 400 medical students yearly.
The Sinai Hospitalist team consists of 40 employed physicians and 14 APP’s. We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic Assistant Director of Hospitalist Operations to join our Hospitalist Team.

- Board Eligibility or Certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Maryland Medical License without restrictions
- Current CDS license, DEA certificate, and ACLS Certification required

Operations Management
Provides clinical leadership and encourages teamwork and participation from all team members in the daily operations of the Sinai Hospitalist programWorks collaboratively with departmental leadership and fellow providers to build and maintain schedules for the hospitalists and PRN providersAssists in the professional development of providersHolds monthly meetings with hospitalist providers to discuss system / patient flow quality, improvement in scheduling, and patient and provider relationshipsIn partnership with the Chair, provides guidance to hospitalist program services to include policies, personnel, services, marketing, quality assurance monitoring, and education.Assists in an efficient and expeditious operation of the program, providing input on budgets, billing, equipment, staffing, and yearly goals and objectivesRegularly assesses medical staff perceptions and needs of the program to ensure a positive working relationship, provides leadership to clinicians to achieve programmatic improvementQuality and Performance Improvement
Assists with development and maintenance of continuous quality improvement programsReviews and adjusts schedules on a continuous basis to address barriers to timely patient admissions, delayed discharges, and troubleshoot barriers to improve overall patient flowMonitors PRN use and compliance with PRN productivity standardsEnsures all physicians work 180 shifts per yearReports on metric performance at minimum twice annually at appropriate Performance Management forum / committeeSupports the Leadership On-Call Schedule inclusive of addressing acute operational, quality, customer service concernsAdministrative
