Communications and Marketing Specialist

Widely regarded as a leader in special education, SINAI operates eight schools in NJ and NY for individuals ages 5-21 with a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities.

The Communications and Marketing Assistant is a member of the Communications Department based in SINAI’s Business Office in Paramus, NJ. The Assistant supports implementations of strategies to broaden enrollment, fundraising, and the overall impression of the institution in the world at large.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills; experience with project and event organizing; and openness to learning new technologies and skills. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Manage social media, website, and email marketing campaigns
• Draft and edit content for various platforms as needed to support communications, marketing, and development initiatives
• Track campaign performance through analytics across platforms
• Provide administrative support for events, including SINAI’s Annual Dinner, art shows, and parlor meetings
• Manage project timelines and deliverables
• Manage departmental assets such as photographs, videos, and mailing lists
• Manage department invoices and budget tracking

 Occasional evening and weekend work required for fundraising events.

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with WordPress (or similar CMS), Email Marketing, Canva, and social media management preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, sometimes under pressure and time constraints 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other staff members 
• Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
• BA or MA degree 

Required – proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar.
