Sinayskaya Yuniver, a Brooklyn based law firm, is looking for an Associate Attorney. Our firm’s Area of Practice are: Commercial Litigation, Labor and Employment Law – Commercial Class-Action Defense, General Business Law, and Healthcare Law. Candidates must have exceptional written and oral communications skills along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will possess sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, the ability to; work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage their workload. Prior experience drafting motions and handling discovery and trial preparation is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling pre-trial proceedings, discovery, motion practice, court conferences, and depositions
- Drafting legal documents including, but not limited to, bill of particulars and other pleadings, discovery motions, and appellate briefs
- Managing the in-take of contract requests and conducting client interviews related to contracts
- Perform legal research
- Managing and settling disputes
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Apprising partners of material developments and matters on a timely basis
- Exercising sound business and legal judgment
- Demonstrating leadership skills in the support of a collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year litigation experience
- JD Degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
- Strong legal writing skills
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Sound judgment and ability to have full ownership over cases
Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
