Job Description :
This is our general BOH (Back of House) role. As Guest Rooms and Laundry Attendant, you will ensure our guests experience the highest levels of room preparation and cleanliness. Your responsibilities will be tending our daily housekeeping practice and hands-on management of our laundry service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform daily housekeeping and room preparation, working closely with our housekeeping staff, management team, and FOH / reception staff
- Clean guest rooms as assigned.
- Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities.
- Clean hotel common areas and service areas including the hotel lobby, upstairs service area, laundry room.
- Clean and maintain outdoor spaces including the courtyard patio and front yard patio.
- Manage laundry each day. Manage stain treatment and ensure that stains are properly treated before items are washed and dried.
- Operate washing and drying equipment. Measure and administer eco-friendly cleaning products to laundry according to product specifications.
- Fold and put away laundry.
- Operate dishwasher including loading, unloading, and putting away dishes.
- Water indoor and outdoor plants as scheduled. Assist with maintaining plants including pulling weeds.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed and scheduled, for example changing light bulbs, cleaning light fixtures which will require use of a step stool, etc.
- Participate in routine weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning and maintenance tasks, as assigned.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed.
- Promptly report maintenance issues to management.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Always provide excellent, friendly, and Austin-genuine guest service in your job capacity, and, as needed, assist FOH staff with guest needs.
