What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dielectric - Maintenance Technician position at Sinclair Broadcast Group?
This role will be vital to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility by performing routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role supports the daily operations of office and manufacturing spaces, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and minimizing downtime through preventative maintenance efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting facility systems such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of both interior and exterior spaces, including offices, production areas, parking lots, and storage facilities, to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Assist in implementing and following preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extended lifespan of company assets.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to identify, prioritize, and resolve maintenance needs, including emergency repairs, while minimizing disruptions to daily operations. Support compliance with safety standards, including addressing potential hazards and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels of tools and supplies, requesting replacements or restocking as needed.
- Assist in overseeing and coordinating with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service.
- Support energy efficient initiatives by identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Facilities Manager.
