The Compliance Officer for Work-based Learning will be essential to the Work-based Learning (WBL) office, leading and executing compliance efforts to ensure the successful delivery of grant-related objectives. This role will focus on producing deliverables and achieving goals aligned with the Department of Labor (DOL) grant, as well as supporting compliance needs related to the ECMC Expansion Grant.
Working closely with internal project managers and Sinclair colleagues, the Compliance Officer will oversee all compliance aspects outlined in the grants. Responsibilities include tracking and monitoring participant engagement, identifying opportunities for efficient fund allocation, and maintaining accurate grant reporting through data entry. Additionally, this role will provide strategic planning and oversight of deliverables and action items, conduct ongoing compliance reviews with project managers, and offer recommendations to enhance project execution in alignment with grant initiatives.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $28.75 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week.

Principal Accountabilities
- Lead all compliance efforts including budgeting, tracking, planning, maintaining and expending funds
- Submission of accurate data to the grant platform(s)
- Monitor, track, review and maintain compliance
- Support grant initiatives at events
- Attend grant team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, management, and administration across federal, state, local, and private funding sources required
- Expertise in submitting grant applications and managing grant-related data in various databases preferred
- Strong technical proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple database systems preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all grant-related tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively required
- Active listening skills to engage with stakeholders, understand requirements, and collaborate effectively required
- Team-oriented professional who excels in both one-on-one and group settings, fostering productive collaboration required
