What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Traffic News Anchor position at Sinclair Inc.?
WZTV/WUXP/WNAB has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Traffic News Anchor / Reporter. In this role, you will be required to produce daily content for our 5 hour morning newscast and generate other news during downtimes. The content you develop will be produced for a variety of platforms including the internet and social networks, along with performing other duties as assigned by the news managers. We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of how to use computer programs to find the traffic story, deliver the issues clearly and concisely as well as to provide alternate routes in a timely fashion. You may also be asked to develop and record traffic stories for other newscasts to help alert viewers and readers to potential traffic conditions to help them plan their day/night/commute. A successful candidate can research stories, write them with an edge, and use strong storytelling and TV production to make stories impactful and memorable. It is important to have strong writing skills and to have knowledge of current events. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must. This IS NOT a position for beginners!

Skills and Experience:
- A self-starter and who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis
- A strong knowledge of Nashville and it's streets and highways will enhance your application
- A quick learner who learns new computer programs with ease
- Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas
- Previous reporting experience is required; previous traffic reporting is desired; Experience with Nashville traffic reporting is a home run!
- Must have at least 3 years of on-air experience
- Live shot experience is required
- Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
- Making public appearances in the community is required
