What are the responsibilities and job description for the News Editor (Part-time) position at Sinclair Inc.?
WPDE has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail oriented and creative News Editor! The position is part-time. The hours are Saturday & Sundays 5am-10am, Monday & Tuesday 3am-8am. Our news editors also run prompter for the anchors. This position is not remote and ability to work in our office is necessary.
Job responsibilities include:
- Editing video for daily news coverage
- Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
- Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
- Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- HS degree and experience editing
- Knowledge of Avid editing technology is a plus
- Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
