Our team in Edmonton is currently looking for a Sheet Metal Administrator to become an integral part of the team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the sheet metal fabrication team, including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing communications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production schedules, inventory, KPI, and project timelines.
- Review and analysis metrics, supporting COA.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Process all incoming/outgoing documents within appropriate software.
- Monitor and report inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of materials and supplies.
- Handle internal customer inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of work orders and production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
- Provide vacation relief coverage for the metal purchasing agent, ensuring continuity in procurement and inventory management.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the foreman/supervisor or the manager.
Qualification/Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement processes is a plus.
