Responsibilities
Warehouse Assistant Shipping Supervisor works under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor to execute all shipping of small packages and LTL shipments.
Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM plus 1 Saturday (5 hours) every 2 months.
- Pick, pack and process FedEx and LTL shipments.
- Give direction to warehouse personnel to complete daily tasks
- Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse
- Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care
- Process inventory for deliveries/pickups
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location
- Package items and label correctly
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
- Communicate with internal / external customers
- Organize and stage pallets of products for future shipments
- Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse
- Move materials from storage to pick-up area or other locations
- Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards
- Keep warehouse premises neat and clean (indoors and outdoors)
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory
- Cross trained to provide PTO coverage for peers and supervisor staff
- Able to work occasional Saturday which will entail overseeing daily tasks and personnel in the warehouse
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
- Up to 3 years Warehouse experience a plus.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and mentor warehouse team leaders on the day to day operations of the warehouse
- Computer experience, data entry, scanning technology.
- High School Diploma.
Work Location: Elverson, PA / In-Office
Compensation: $55K-$65K
