What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Technician position at Singer Equipment Company?
Overview
Singer Equipment is the premier contract dealer, and for over 100 years, we have been installing high-quality kitchens and dining facilities to many segments of business. We are looking for a qualified installation technician to carry on that success. Their main job function would be the delivery and installation of the industry’s highest quality equipment on the most prestigious projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and install food service equipment at jobsites and end user locations in a safe and effective manner
- Comply with each Department of State Motor Vehicles regulations.
- Adhere to Superintendent’s and PM’s directions on each jobsite
- Comply with OSHA regulations and all safety regulations for construction jobsites
- Safely operate power tools on jobsites
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
- Required travel and overnight stays (Singer T&L will pay for lodging)
- Overtime work and weekend work not common but can be requested on a job by job basis
- Active driver’s license is mandatory
- Communicate with a positive attitude to other installers, project managers, and other staff
- Drug testing will be required (pre-employment and random); zero tolerance policy
- Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Physically fit to move equipment
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities are needed
Education/ Specialized Certificate Required:
- High School Diploma
- Driver’s License is mandatory
- OSHA 30 Construction Certificate preferred (T&L can train you once employed)
Experience Needed:
- Experience in handling expensive merchandise and freight
- Previous work demonstrating organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Experience with using tools on a daily basis. Personal tool box and tool collection desired
- Mechanical experience preferred or construction experience
