As an Outside Sales/Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and fostering long-term relationships with key clients while representing industry-leading products and services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities for Industrial Hose and Hydraulic repair services.
- Prospect and generate leads within the industrial and manufacturing sectors, focusing on clients who need hydraulic solutions, including industrial hoses and hydraulic repair services.
- Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations to present solutions to customers in need of industrial hoses and hydraulic repair.
- Develop customized sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales, ensuring that the needs of the customer are met with the best possible solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow-up on orders, ensuring customers are satisfied with both the products and services provided.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team to ensure timely and accurate order processing and inventory management.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity to effectively position Central Hydraulics' products and services in the marketplace.
- Deliver sales presentations to decision-makers and influence purchasing decisions for industrial hose products and hydraulic repair services.
- Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to expand the company's visibility and network with potential customers.
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product improvements, and service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales or account management, preferably in the industrial hose and/or hydraulic services industries, including hydraulic repair.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial hose solutions and hydraulic repair services, with the ability to articulate technical details to customers.
- Strong ability to develop relationships, close sales, and manage a portfolio of accounts.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to craft tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for tracking sales activities and customer interactions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel within the designated sales territory.
- Ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- A team player who collaborates effectively with both the internal team and customers to drive business growth.
