Collision Repair Technician
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Collision Repair Technician requires an experienced individual with the ability to weld, repair, and restore high-end automotive chassis in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.” The candidate must be an effective communicator that works well on a team and can multitask efficiently. This position requires you to be meticulous in your work and constantly striving for improvement. You must be able follow precise work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish restoration process.
Essential Functions
- Prepares and stages upcoming production builds on Celette frame benches
- Assesses damage of each chassis with Production Supervisor to ensure alignment on scope of repair work
- Responsible for completing the work associated with each vehicle repair including light to heavy repairs, replacing panels via welding or bolt-on/off, structural and frame repair
- Work with Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure production demands meets the specified production schedule
- Work daily tasks lists set out by lead/ Production Supervisor
- Performs operational procedure according to required engineering specifications
- Ensure workflow is tracked and on time through daily meetings
- Report any issues/ delays in production line to lead and ensure correction in a timely manner
- Report any additional repairs/ parts necessary to complete restoration of chassis to factory specifications
- Inspects both raw materials and finished products for conformance to quality specifications
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Maintains and services shop equipment
- Assist other team members as necessary
- Assists in special projects and set up of fixtures as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in an automotive (chassis/ parts), restoration, manufacturing and or collision environment
- General automotive knowledge and knowledge of fabrication, machining/ welding equipment setup, process, and maintenance
- Competency in GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding process

Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $28.00 - $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
