Interiors Trimmer
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Trimmer will work with the Interiors team to complete a variety of tasks related to vehicle production including preparing panels for trim work, following subassembly procedures, and preparing chassis for interior installation in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
This role is onsite in Torrance, CA.
- Prepares raw parts for trimming in leather, cloth, or carpet
- Trims and installs leather, carpet, or cloth covers on a variety of parts and panels
- Assembles various finished components to complete sub-assemblies
- May be required to perform Sewing or Leather Cutting tasks such as:
- Sewing all leather interiors, carpets, headlining, and leather luggage according to the build specification
- Operating the skiving and splitting machines, grommet press, and embossing machines
- Cutting all leather for specific cars, as well as foam, carpet, headlining, and sound insulation according to the build specification
- Hand-sewing decorative interior panels where required"
- Tracks progress and completed tasks through the practice of filling out checklists
- Works daily tasks lists set out by Lead/Production Supervisor
- Performs operational procedure according to required engineering specifications
- Reads specifications sheets and follow templates to ensure accuracy
- Monitors the inventory of leather and materials
- Reports any issues, delays, and all non-conformances in production line to Lead and ensure correction in a timely manner
- Reports any material shortage/part defect
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Assists other team members as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Zero (0) to one (1) year experience trimming, cutting, and/or sewing high-quality leather interiors for Automotive, Aerospace, and/or Marine applications
- Basic knowledge of leather work, sewing, and automotive upholstery techniques

Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $22.00 - $32.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
