Assistant Project Manager: As an in-house builder for Singh Development, Singh Construction teams work together with the development, design, and finance departments to deliver high- quality projects from the Singh portfolio, including Commercial Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Sr. Living Healthcare projects. The Assistant Project Manager position reports to the Sr. Project Manager or Sr. Superintendent. Our construction teams are unique: they are given significant autonomy to complete their building projects, and are entrusted with making decisions that best balance the safety, schedule, quality, and budget of the project, while maintaining excellent working conditions with our trade partners and neighbors in the communities we build in. As such, Singh Construction looks for bright, friendly, and respectful candidates to join our growing team. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and directing project through design, permitting, construction, and warranty periods
- Working with the project Superintendent to conduct OAC mtgs, weekly trade mtgs, pre-installation mtgs, QAQC mtgs, etc.
- Managing the project's financial processes, submittal process, and RFI process
The ideal candidate for Assistant Project Manager will have:
- Minimum 1-5 years’ experience managing commercial/industrial construction projects; preference given to experience in multi-family, healthcare, and sr. living. Experience in other commercial sectors (K-12, higher-ed, aviation, mixed-use, etc) is also welcomed
- Relevant experience managing commercial construction projects or relevant higher-ed degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- Experience using construction software is preferred, especially: Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera (P6), Yardi
- Must have valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Associates in this role are occasionally exposed to hot water and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. 80 pounds of pressure may be placed on the associate through transfers using transfer belts or mechanical assists.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements including simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Constant standing and walking.
