Quality Technician Job Summary
Single Source Medical is currently seeking a Quality Technician who has a high attention to detail and has experience with final inspection and critical documentation review. The Quality Technician will report directly to the Quality Director. In this role, you will conduct routine quality inspections throughout production, including in-process and final inspections. During these inspections, you will use a variety of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, CMM etc. to ensure that products follow specifications. You will also perform equipment calibrations and perform workstation audits. Applicants should have some manufacturing or machine shop experience.
Quality Technician Duties and Responsibilities
· Work with Quality, Production, and Engineering to resolve concerns and make continuous improvements
· Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production or manufacturing process, including in-process and final inspections
· Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements
· Perform equipment calibrations
· Perform workstation audits
· Maintain documentation of all inspections and potential issues
· Assist with problem resolution and corrective actions
· Suggest process improvements
· Train manufacturing operators on inspection techniques as needed
Quality Technician Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED certificate
· Knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485 and medical device standards
· Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
· Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T knowledge
· Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, CMM etc.
· Ability to work in a fast pace environment
· Internal auditing experience a plus
· Over-time as needed
· Attention to detail and strong documentation abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
